Meet Dr. Hegstad

Dr. Andrew Hegstad grew up in Forest Lake and was a patient in this clinic. He was happy to return to the practice when he purchased it in 2003. The practice was originally established in 1978, and Dr. Hegstad feels honored to have inherited such a strong community of patients and staff. He looks forward to making dentistry a comfortable experience and building relationships with his patients and their families.

Dr. Hegstad received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Minnesota in 2000. Prior to dental school, he attended Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota where he graduated with honors in Biology and Scandinavian Studies. He also studied for a semester at Hamar College in Hamar, Norway.

Dr. Hegstad is a member of the American Dental Association and the Minnesota Dental Association. He continues his education through the Minnesota Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry to keep abreast of the latest techniques and technologies to improve his treatment of his clients.

When he’s not in the office, Dr. Hegstad enjoys model trains (take a look around the office!), travel, skiing, biking, and playing guitar.
